I was first pointed in Maria’s direction by a friend who also had horses and used it on her animals. She said she’d seen amazing results and Bowen was also practiced on people and worth trying. At the time I had really bad back, shoulders and neck and was very lop-sided. I also had chronic sciatic pain which was only relieved by lying down on the floor whenever it hit which was often.

I found Maria and made my first appointment and to be honest as I lay there I wondered “how on earth this was ever going to work”, her touch was so light and then, Maria kept leaving the room after each period of treatment for a couple of minutes.

We’ll after about ten mins my body was jumping around to Maria’s light touch and by the end of the first session I could definitely feel a massive difference. I had another two sessions over the next two weeks and I was a convert. I was a different person with much improved symptoms. I continued to see Maria with longer lengths of time between visits until I was just having treatments once every 8-12 weeks  to keep my old symptoms at bay.

I think I became complacent and with Covid I stopped visiting as I was “healed” and you forget how bad things were until my problems returned after a couple of years with the addition of chronic neck pain and migraines. I was honestly incapable of functioning and in so much pain. I rang Maria and she welcomed me back and was I grateful. Once again Maria’s miracle happened over the next couple of weeks and months and I will never stop going again. I now go to see this amazing lady every 4-6 weeks to ensure I can live my life with out the excruciating pain I found myself in and I thank her every day for her Bowen therapy.

I visited Maria after our baby had been suffering from reflux since he was two weeks old. Despite being on medication he was still very unsettled and cried much of the time, breast feeding him was difficult and the medication was causing constipation.
Maria was very welcoming and after taking a history of his problems she began the therapy session. It was very gentle, our little one didn’t mind the touch at all.
After a few days we saw results. He became much happier and cried a lot less. His feeding became a lot easier and the constipation eased.

I have been receiving Bowen Technique treatment from Maria for a number of years. Having been in the strenuous building trade and on going in the Martial Arts business.

A regular treatment once in a while, keeping the body in line, and any immediate stresses, like two knee and an ankle replacements, a must to get yourself back on form. -  Do not put up with it, get it sorted !

When I retired from the Army after 34 years of service I realised that I faced a much less active lifestyle, not least because during the latter part of my career I had undergone major back surgery and a full hip replacement.  At discharge I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my remaining hip and both knees along with associated damage to my lower back and both ankles.

"I had an injury to my left shoulder and neck leaving me with chronic unbearable pain. I had reached the point where I was passing out with the tension knots in my neck, they were so severe I have sympathetic nerve damage and inflamed trauma to both my shoulder and neck. The pain was so severe I was very reluctant to let anyone touch either my shoulder or neck.
After having the Bowen treatment explained to me I thought this maybe my best option to try and get some relief without causing further pain or damage to my injuries.
