About Me:
I am a UK-qualified nurse with a background in Intensive and Coronary Care, having trained at Worcester Royal NHS Hospital. Throughout my nursing career, I worked across several major NHS hospitals, gaining extensive clinical experience and building a strong foundation in acute and patient-centred care.
After moving with my family to Knighton, on the English–Welsh border, I took on the role of Practice Nurse at the local GP surgery. During this time, I expanded my qualifications, specialising in Diabetes Management and Coronary Health. More recently, I have also worked with The Bracken Trust, a charity supporting people affected by cancer, their families, and those who are bereaved, where I provided care within a compassionate and holistic environment.
My interest in complementary therapy began following a triathlon injury that conventional treatments were unable to resolve. I was introduced to the Bowen Technique and was truly impressed by how such a gentle, non-invasive therapy could produce such effective results. Inspired by the experience, I decided to study the technique professionally — and it has shaped my career ever since.
In 2005, I qualified as a Bowen Therapist through the European College of Bowen Studies and have since continued to broaden my knowledge through advanced and specialist training. In 2009, I also qualified as an Emmett Practitioner, a complementary therapy that works with specific trigger points in the body to ease pain, release tension, and restore balance. Where beneficial, I combine both techniques to create a personalised and holistic treatment approach for each client.
What I value most about my work is helping people of all ages feel more comfortable in their bodies, improve movement, and regain quality of life. I regularly support clients with a wide range of conditions, including sports injuries, arthritis, asthma, and mobility issues. Many people I see have lived with discomfort for years, often unaware that effective, gentle treatment options are available.
I feel truly privileged to do this work and remain deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those I support.
